AJ is a tenacious realtor with over 10 years of sales experience. He is a true example of the American dream. Born in war-torn Afghanistan, AJ and his family immigrated to the United States after serving as a combat interpreter and cultural adviser with the US military for over 8 years.
AJ has worked in every aspect of the real estate industry, representing sellers, buyers, investors, and tenants in both the residential and commercial market. With a deep awareness of the unique transient qualities of the Washington, DC area market, AJ prides himself on helping home buyers and sellers understand the buying and selling process, protecting their interests, and negotiating on their behalf. Since becoming a realtor, AJ quickly established a completely referral-based business, with a reputation of being a steadfast advocate for his clients. Mica brings to the Faqiri Real Estate team a wealth of public and private advocacy and program management skills. While in high school, Mica began volunteering with refugees in her hometown of Denver, CO. Mica turned her passion for refugees into a career, working in job placement and recruiting of marginalized reputations. Her sales-based approach to non-profit work caused her to develop strong partnerships with business leaders who wanted to support the community while making smart business decisions.
After moving to the Washington, DC area, Mica spent five years working for the veteran-run nonprofit, No One Left Behind, serving American wartime allies born in Afghanistan and Iraq. She developed a reputation for being a fierce advocate for her clients, and for strong program management skills. Mica brings to Faqiri Real Estate a deep passion for helping families achieve their dreams of home ownership, particularly given the unique challenges of the Washington, DC area housing market.
